Welcome

Please join me in welcoming

Eugene Datri to the Foy Brothers

Band.

Eugene started playing drums at the early age of 6. He grew up in upstate NY where he studied music. He has performed on the national circuit and more recently internationally at The Ochio Rios Jazz Festival. Eugene has a strong Fusion Jazz background but is a versatile percussionist in all genres, which has given him the opportunity to be involved in multiple studio sessions. He has had the privilege to play with some great performers such as Joe Roy Jackson, Bobby Kendall, Super Nova and Outpost 5, to name a few. He also has done drum tech work for two of his biggest influences Bill Buford and Terry Bozzio. Eugene has a great feel for music and is known to be very intuitive in his playing, he has been called the energizer bunny due to his tired less commitment when playing. We look forward to the next phase of the Foy Brothers Band with Eugene on the drums. We are currently in the studio working on new material with our sites on the third CD.

Look forwrd to seeing you at our next performance...

The Foy Brothers Band is a multi talented Soul/Funk/R&B/Blues band that has been entertaining audiences in the Capital Region for over ten years. With the release of their first CD "Whatever" in the year 2000 and winners of the Northeast Blues Society's Colossal Contenders Blues Challenge of the same year, the Foy Brothers continue to evolve into the tight-knit band they are today.

Founding members; Mark Foy, brother Kevin Foy and niece Charee Hendricks, along with Joe Pennisi, Mark Giammattei and new comer John Ellis embark on the release of their new CD "time" in 2008, a compilation of songs written by several of the band members with guest artist; Brian Melik, Annette Harris, Denise Cokes and former member Bud McGuire. "time" truly shows the professionalism of the Foy Brothers Band as a unit, with a wide range of styles, this CD takes you places that only the Foys can bring you, from the satisfying blues of "Going Home" to the warm sun filled fun at "Banana Joe's". Please enjoy some music clips from "time"
